Graham is an experienced guitarist from the UK that has graduated with a BA (Hons) in Popular Music. Graham has been playing guitar for roughly 9 years and has experience in tutoring, musical theatre, session work, live shows and function bands.
Graham originally studied bagpipes from the age of 10 and later, developed a keen interest in guitar at high school. Since then, he has studied Popular Music at Stevenson College and Napier University. His passion lies within musical theatre, and because of this, Graham’s playing is extremely versatile. He covers an array of different genres such as funk, country, blues, jazz, progressive rock and many more. He has also performed solo and accompanied artists with percussive acoustic guitar techniques such as playing multiple parts simultaneously. Graham has played in many musicals, including:
‘Bugsy Malone’, ‘Grease’, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Les Misérables’, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, ‘Rent’, ‘Spring Awakening’, ‘Sunshine on Leith’, ‘West Side Story’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘Whistle Down the Wind’ and more.
He has played in many sold out theatre productions and performing in venues like The Famous Spiegeltent.
With experience in session work, he has done guitar work in several recordings that have varied in style and has played for an X Factor finalists tour around New Zealand
With experience in live shows, Graham has played in hundreds of shows including playing a function band called, “Major Tom” that were voted as one of Scotland’s top 10 function bands in 2013 and covered a large array of music from the 50’s to recent chart music.
